Hey folks! hoping that more jaters will partecipate to the event,we thought to spread the word about the JKademy Awards 2008 that we’ll celebrate on the Jater Couch. here’s Banshee’s announcement..

I’m pleased to open the Nominations for the 2nd annual..

JKademy Awards

This highly anticipated event is certain to bring with it lots of entertainment, engaging posts, and of course Jate love.
The Awards will encompass all 4 Seasons with some special categories relegated for newer developments not inclusive in last year’s ceremony, such as FF’s. Nominations and Voting are open to all Jaters, members of the couch or lurkers who wish to participate and/or read along. But as always, we encourage folks to take part regardless of how often you post. It’s tough deciding between all of these incredible scenes so we need as many submissions as we can get . And the design of this event is for everyone to be included, & above all have a good time. So YOU are what will make this a success!

• Nomination submissions to determine the category contenders are to be made right here on the couch
• At this time you do not need to elaborate on why you chose your selections. That will be part of the voting process.
• Reiterating any scene/moment from all 4 seasons is eligible for submission
• The deadline for Noms is midnight-Sunday, July 27th (Sun turning Monday). Periodic reminders will be posted.
• There will be a week break between nominations & voting. This will be to have time to prepare the voting phase of the Awards.
• Voting will span several weeks, with 2-3 categories each.
• And YOU will have a chance to win an award avi for the best voting post in each category.

- Then on Friday, Sept 12th @ 9pm EST join us for the LIVE! Awards Ceremony & party with all new special performances from some of our most talented Jaters & today’s hottest bands (you’ll see ).

- “The Imaginary Lost” award pertaining to Jate will be part of the voting process only, so stay tuned for details.
- You can begin to post your nominations for categories 1-14. Please include links where necessary. Once again you have until midnight, Sunday, July 27th.

Evangeline Lilly says starring in ‘Lost’ ruined her skin. The 29-year-old actress ” who plays Kate Austen in the hit US TV show ” admits she started surfing in the rough sea to cope with stress of filming, but the salty water soon took its toll on her complexion.

She said: “Last season of the show I surfed constantly, which was cathartic for me, but the sun and salt water wreaked havoc with my skin so, for the first time in my life, I had skin problems. I ended up wearing a full face of pink pure zinc to protect it. I looked ridiculous with this bright pink face but I just wanted to surf!”
Evangeline has also revealed the secret to her slim figure ” indoor aerobics. She added to Britain’s InStyle magazine: “I dance around my living room to cheesy 80s aerobics music until I’m sweating really hard! “I also walk a lot.
Walking is a very underestimated exercise in North America. It’s all run hard, lift weights and push your body, but walking is wonderful for elongating the body and posture.”

Actress Evangeline Lilly, best known for playing Kate Austen in US TV show Lost, has been unveiled as the new face of Davidoff Cool Water for Women.

She stars in a multimedia advertising campaign that launches today (1 July).
Lilly joins Coty’s perfume brand a year after fellow Lost star Josh Holloway, aka Sawyer, became the face of Davidoff Cool Water for Men; a position he maintains today.
The Lost star wears a black swimsuit for a TV ad which launches across terrestrial and cable TV today. It will be accompanied by print and digital ads.

Creative for the campaign, which is also set to roll out globally, has been managed by Olivier van Doorne while photography has been handled by Peter Lindbergh.
Media planning and buying has been carried out by Omnicom’s OMD in the UK.
This summer, Lilly is also set to appear in UK cinemas alongside John Malkovich and French actor Romain Duris in the new film Afterwards.
